Delamination and Poor Layer Adhesion

Why layers separate and how to fix it.
Delamination is separation of print layers:
🔍 Causes: • Nozzle temperature too low • Print speed too high • Wet filament • Layer height too large • Insufficient cooling or too much cooling
✅ Solutions: • Increase temperature by 5–10 °C • Lower print speed by 20–30% • Try a different filament • Reduce layer height • Check cooling settings
📊 Correct settings for PLA: • Temperature: 205–215 °C • Layer height: max 0.75× nozzle diameter • Speed: 40–60 mm/s • Cooling: 80–100% (except first 2 layers)
💡 Tip: Print a temperature tower to find ideal temperature for your filament.
