Regular Printer Maintenance

Keep your printer in perfect condition with this maintenance schedule.
Regular maintenance extends printer lifespan and improves print quality:
📅 Weekly: • Clean bed with 91% IPA • Check belt tension (should sound like guitar D note) • Remove filament debris from print area
📅 Monthly: • Lubricate linear rails (PTFE lubricant or SuperLube) • Check screw tension throughout printer • Clean fans and heatsinks • Perform cold pull to clean nozzle
📅 Every 3 months: • Check bowden tube condition (cracks, yellowing) • Replace PTFE tubing in hotend if needed • Recalibrate bed level and Z-offset • Update firmware
📅 Annually / as needed: • Replace nozzle (brass: 200–300 hours printing) • Inspect bearings and linear elements • Check power supply condition
