How to Fix a Model Before Printing

A faulty STL file will cause print failure. Learn to fix it.
Poor-quality STL files contain errors that cause slicer problems:
🔍 Common STL problems: • Non-manifold geometry (unclosed surfaces) • Flipped normals • Duplicate faces or layers • Mesh resolution too low or too high

⚙️ Fixing in PrusaSlicer: 1. Import the model 2. If slicer reports errors, right-click → Fix through Netfabb 3. Or: Part settings → Repair model
💡 Preventing problems: • Download models with positive ratings and comments • Prefer 3MF format over STL (contains more information) • Always export from CAD with watertight check enabled • Details smaller than 0.4 mm will be ignored by the slicer
