Infill – How and How Much

Infill affects strength, weight, and material consumption.
Infill is the internal structure of a model. More infill = stronger and heavier:
📊 Recommended values: • 5–10% – decorative items that don't need strength • 15–20% – standard models, toys, figurines • 25–35% – functional parts with mild requirements • 40–60% – mechanical components, levers • 80–100% – maximum strength (rarely needed)
🏗 Infill patterns: • Gyroid – best strength-to-weight ratio, isotropic • Honeycomb – good strength, less material • Grid / Lines – fast, standard • Cubic – good for compression loads • Lightning (Cura) – minimal infill, appearance only
💡 Tip: Wall count is more important than infill % – 3–4 walls provide more strength than 50% infill.
