Extruder Calibration (E-steps)

Precise extrusion is the basis of quality prints. Set e-steps correctly.
E-steps calibration ensures the printer extrudes the exact amount of filament:
🔧 Procedure: 1. Disconnect bowden from hotend (or print in air) 2. Heat hotend to printing temperature 3. Mark filament 120 mm from extruder inlet 4. Extrude 100 mm (M83, G1 E100 F100) 5. Measure remaining distance to the mark
📐 Calculation: New e-steps = (current × 100) / actually extruded
Save: M92 Exx.xx → M500
📊 Additional calibrations: • Flow rate: Print single wall, measure thickness with micrometer • Pressure advance / Linear advance: Nozzle pressure calibration • Temperature tower: Ideal temperature for each material • Retraction tower: Optimal retraction length and speed
