Print Temperatures – How to Set Them Correctly

Print Temperatures – How to Set Them Correctly image

Every filament prints differently. Learn to find the ideal temperature.

Nozzle and bed temperature fundamentally affect print results:

🌡 Typical temperatures: • PLA: 190–220 °C (nozzle), 55–65 °C (bed) • PETG: 230–250 °C, 80–90 °C • ABS: 230–250 °C, 100–110 °C + enclosure • TPU: 220–240 °C, 30–60 °C (slow!) • Nylon: 240–260 °C, 70–90 °C

🔬 How to find the ideal temperature: 1. Print a Temperature Tower 2. Every 5 mm, print 5 °C lower 3. Compare surface, bridging, and overhangs 4. Select the best section

⚠️ Signs of wrong temperature: • Too high → stringing, glossy surface, oozing • Too low → poor layer adhesion, nozzle clogging
