3D Printing Safety

Essential safety rules for 3D printer operation.
🔥 Fire Safety: • Never leave the printer unattended overnight • Install a smoke detector in the printer room • Keep a fire extinguisher within reach • Consider a power supply with surge protection
🌬 Ventilation: • ABS and ASA release harmful fumes – ventilate or use a filter • PLA is relatively safe, but ventilation is still recommended • Never print in an unventilated enclosed space
⚡ Electrical Safety: • Don't modify the electrical parts without electronics knowledge • Regularly inspect wiring – worn cables cause fires
🧤 Personal Protection: • Don't touch the hot hotend (200 °C+) or bed • Wear gloves and goggles when working with UV resin
