Pressure Advance / Linear Advance

Eliminate corner defects and improve extrusion consistency at high speeds.
Pressure Advance (Klipper) or Linear Advance (Marlin) compensate for pressure delay of filament in the nozzle.
Why it matters: • During acceleration, pressure builds up → too much material • During deceleration, filament is under pressure → oozing after stop
📐 PA calibration (Klipper): 1. Print calibration square (from Klipper tools) 2. Set START_PA=0 END_PA=0.2 INCREMENT=0.005 3. Find corners without rounding and without overextrusion
📐 LA calibration (Marlin): • Use Marlin calibrator on Teaching Tech website • Typical values: Bowden 60–100, Direct Drive 0–20
💡 Result: • Sharp corners without excess material • Consistent line width even at fast moves
